A thousand years of light revived
Enshrined at the foot of the Nishiyama mountains, Otoshi Jinja Shrine has been a place of prayer for an abundant harvest and peace since ancient times. The historial main sanctuary sits in harmony with the abundant greenery on the grounds, ushering its visitors quietly.
The bamboo lanterns adorning the grounds are symbolic of the prayers for the local area and continuing traditions. Enjoy a peaceful moment and an evening wrapped in warm light.

- Oil extracted from kaya (Japanese nutmeg-yew) trees will be used to light the sacred lamp

Since long ago, Otoshi Jinja Shrine has enshrined the god of agriculture and abundant harvests. Come and see history and tradition illuminated with bamboo lanterns.
